The firm represents federal oil & gas lease operators with respect to their offshore facility decommissioning liability under the Code of Federal Regulations. This representation includes analysis of indemnity rights in purchase and sale agreements, negotiating with other predecessors in title regarding contribution, and liaison or even litigation with BSEE/BOEM. When liability is established, the firm represents operators in contracting to perform the decommissioning of platforms and pipelines, including plugging and abandoning dormant wells.
